This past year has been especially difficult for me.
- I was laid off from my job and I had to somehow keep food on the table and continue to pay my mortgage.
Fortunately I was able to get unemployment, but that wasn’t enough to cover all of my bills. Also my HVAC system was struggling and I was lucky to get through the rest of the winter season. I wanted to be able to tune-up my system in the spring, but I wasn’t able to afford that. I was barely even able to afford to feed myself. I finally left a very sad message on social media talking about how I was ready to give up and the fact that I couldn’t afford to have my HVAC system fixed. I knew that without a good working cooling system in the hot season, I was going to be entirely miserable. I was shocked when my brother came to me and showed me a gofundme page he set up for me to get my HVAC system repaired. He mentioned on there how I was laid off from my job and talked about how great a guy I was. When I seen there was roughly $5,000 raised to have my HVAC system fixed, I almost fainted. This money not only helped me to cover the cost for my HVAC system maintenance but I was able to catch up on my other bills and afford food to keep me going for a little while. I thanked everybody so much for caring. It was one of the best days of my life getting back on track with everything and I no longer felt so depressed.
