Sometimes you get what you pay for, even though you think it’s a good deal

If there’s one thing that I really like, it’s being able to get a good deal on service for my heating and air conditioning system.

I really hate being overcharged for certain things, and having my furnace or my cooling system repaired is one of those things.

When I saw an ad in our local paper for one of the HVAC companies here in town, I sat up and took notice immediately. That’s because this certain HVAC company was offering free tune-ups and inspections for furnaces and central air conditioning units for an entire year if you purchased a three month trial of their HVAC maintenance program. I was definitely willing to buy a three month trial of the heating and cooling maintenance program for my house, since I always need to have my ductwork cleaned and all of my air filters changed out right about now anyway. I know that I will get my money’s worth, even if I just keep the HVAC maintenance program for the initial first year. I probably would be one of those annoying customers who calls the HVAC company all the time to come out and fix things that are “wrong” with my furnace or air conditioner when I’m really just imagining the whole thing. They would probably stop doing this promotion because of me after having to deal with me and my HVAC system for an entire year. Well, I signed up for the program, but the HVAC company still hasn’t sent an HVAC technician to look at my furnace or my air conditioning. And it’s already been almost a month since I signed up! So I guess sometimes you just get what you pay for.
