Who knew they had different types of furnaces?

A couple of months ago, my daughter called and asked me if I wanted to go shopping with her.

She had recently bought a tiny house and she wanted to buy a furnace for the upcoming winter.

I remember when she bought that house and how I thought she was crazy. I had been in hotel rooms that were bigger than her house, but I soon began to enjoy visiting her there. She recently moved back home from the south and she set her home up in my backyard. With winter coming up, she knew she needed to have a heating system. We weren’t really sure what we were looking for, but we knew the furnace had to be small. We went into several home centers to inquire about a furnace for a tiny house and they all told us they didn’t have anything but space heaters. The one gentleman told us we should go to a place where they sold campers. I had never thought about this even though my husband and I had recently put a new HVAC system into our camper. We got to the camper sales center and the man smiled when we made our request of a small but efficient furnace for the tiny house. He began to ask if we wanted one that was horizontal, vertical, or if we wanted a heater that mounted in the wall. My daughter and I just looked at each other, and both of us were slack-jawed. Neither of us had taken into account that there could be different types of furnaces. We went home and she called my HVAC company.
