I can’t find it easy to believe how boiling the temperature is at my parents’ property… When I was a kid, my parents would never have turned up the furnace to such a high level! In order for you to understand why this shocks myself and others so much, you have to understand how my parents used to be when I was a young kid.
I grew up in an honestly poor family.
When you are poor, a single one of the main causes of a high electric bill is your Heating and Air Conditioning equipment. That is why my parents never owned air conditioner equipment in our property! Sure, the property was boiling during the hot season, however air conditioners cost a lot of money to use, and my parents didn’t have a good amount of money to waste on running an air conditioner when there was no threat that every one of us would die without that Heating and Air Conditioning equipment! However, my parents knew that they couldn’t just turn off the furnace inside the winter… Your family and your property could be damaged without a furnace, and they knew that the furnace had to stay on. However, our furnace was always working just enough to keep the property above freezing levels and maybe a little more. The people I was with and I could only be comfortable in our property with pants and a heavy sweatshirt on even while the furnace was running. However, since I have grown up, my parents have increased their income, and now, they keep the furnace on an extremely high level! When I go to my parents’ property, I can’t help myself from sweating. I think that they are gleeful about their newfound freedom, however their furnace is working overtime.
