Wanted to start new projects – too cold in garage

I’m really glad that winter is short lived around here. Back where I came from, the winter season easily lasted for six or eight months. During that time, you literally couldn’t do anything. If you intended to go outside for any reason, you would probably reconsider that plan the moment that you woke up and saw the feet of snow outside your window. Every single day felt like surviving under those extreme air temperature and climate circumstances. It was not a fun place to live. These days, I’m extremely grateful to live in the south where we have a much shorter winter season and much warmer outdoor air temperatures throughout. However, I still find myself shaking my fist to the a climate gods and wishing that it was Springtime already. I’ve been biting at the bit to accomplish some of the projects for my house. However, it’s been too brutally cold outside to accomplish these goals. A few weeks ago I found some awesome chairs that I wanted to restain and dragged them down to the chilly garage. I brought a large space heater with me and thought that would help with the unpleasant hot and cold air temperatures. As soon as I got all of my supplies together, the outdoor temperature took a sharp decline towards a winter climate. It has been nearly freezing every day ever since, and even my space heater doesn’t help enough with the indoor air temperature down there to keep my fingers from going numb. I hope winter ends soon, or I find a more powerful heating solution for the garage.
