I work as an HVAC technician, and I absolutely love my job.
First of all, being an HVAC technician has awesome benefits. I never have to worry about not having a job in any area that I go to. Nearly every town in our country has more than one HVAC company, and these HVAC companies are always looking for certified HVAC technicians that are willing to work hard for their customers. Also, since I know how to fix HVAC units, I save a lot of money on my personal HVAC units, and I have the nicest HVAC units in town. Also, HVAC technicians are paid well for their trade, and that allows me to provide for my family. However, I also love what I do as an HVAC technician. I have always found it fun to take apart things and make them work again, and I am able to do that as an HVAC technician. But honestly, my favorite part about being an HVAC technician is that I am able to help people. Throughout the year, there are many people who have broken HVAC units, and they have no idea how to fix them. I am the only one that can fix their HVAC units for them! This is especially crucial during the winter when their furnaces stop working. I always love the look of relief on their faces when their furnace turns on again after I fix it. Even if I got paid less, I think that I would want to be an HVAC technician since I get to help people stay safe and comfortable.
