When my parents got divorced, it was a real nightmare for everybody.
I don’t know why they couldn’t get along but they were always fighting over the dumbest things. So I ended up living with my mother and I would visit with my father every so often. It seemed that my father really got the bad end of the deal too. He had to pay all this money to my mother in child support and I’ll admit, we were living pretty good because of it. That doesn’t mean that I was happy though, I always missed my father and I felt so bad for him because of his terrible situation. While my mother invested money in upgrading the heating system to radiant heated floors, my father was living in this run-down apartment and struggled to put food on his table. He had to sell his old car that had a phenomenal climate control system by the way, and now he has this old beat up car that actually rumbles when its driving. The cooling system doesn’t work and sometimes I wonder if we’re going to make it to our destination when we are driving. My father always says everything is going to be alright, but I wish that my mother would let go of the child support so my father could live a better life. He deserves to be able to have a comfortable HVAC system and a car that doesn’t seem like it’s going to break down at any moment. I don’t know why my mother had to put him in such an awful situation.
