Breaking ice blocks caused an issue

We have had some pretty nasty weather here lately.

It’s been freezing and we have had snow and ice storms.

Then we had rain on top of all of that! Because of all of this, it caused a lot of people to have huge ice blocks formed around their homes. It was causing a lot of people including myself issues while trying to leave their home. So the solution was to go around the property with a shovel and start slamming it down on the ice blocks to break it all up and clear things out. This is what I was doing the other day when I made a big mistake. I was so into breaking all these ice blocks that were around my home that I forgot what was underneath the ice in some areas. And when I chopped up one section of these ice blocks I ended up slicing the main cable of my central heating and air conditioning system! This was now going to cost me who knows how much to have a certified heating and air conditioning specialist out to my home to perform the HVAC repair and replace the cable! On top of all that, because I had no central heating as a result of this, I had to pay an extra one hundred bucks to get the certified heating and air conditioning specialist out there same day to fix it! It’s called emergency HVAC service. So the point of this story is to watch what you’re doing when chopping away ice from your home. Don’t accidentally kill your central heating and air conditioning system!
