Last weekend, my wife and I thought it would be a good idea to renovate some things around the house.
We had been planning to do this for several months at that point, but with all of the activities we had to take our kids to and from over the weekends we hadn’t gotten around to it.
We had a long list of things that we wanted to accomplish when we finally had the time, and at the top of the list was repairing the broken down air conditioning system. While having the system replaced with a newer model would have been much easier and less time consuming for the two of us we thought that we would try and fix it up on our own. If there is one thing to know about my wife and I, it would be that we are both extremely hard headed people. My wife had a certain way that she wanted to go about repairing the air conditioning unit by following an online help video, while I wanted to fix it without stopping to check for any help. We ended up doing it my way, which ended up going terrible. After a two days of doing all we could to fix up the unit we eventually had no other choice than to call in some professionals to help. I had no idea how hard fixing up a run of the mill A/C unit could be, but now that I know the difficulties that it can bring I will now start to leave that to others.
