Having a house inside a gated community honestly has its good points. It’s quite nice to have the good luck to be able to supply for our family in this manner. Plus, the added security makes life a little easier to live. The golf club & all the amenities also offers a real measure of excellence. I have been even known to meander down to a single of the ponds to fish a little bit with our girl. I like coming house to a perfectly HVAC controlled house as well. There are several facets of our community that I really, honestly enjoy. But, putting up with an silly HOA is not a single of them. The simply go straight mental over the most trivial of matters. I understand that every one of us all want to maintain property values. The two of us all want a nice looking city but, this HOA just doesn’t get it at all. I have gained several threatening letters with regard to the shade of green on our HVAC cabinet outside our home. It has faded from the sunlight & the HOA wants myself and others to replace it or they will good me. The HVAC unit is in great shape so, I won’t be replacing a dang thing. I even provided to spray paint it myself. This offer was right away dismissed. So, they have started fining myself and others on a yearly basis until I comply. The latest letter has even threatened litigation. Well, that was a single step over the line for me. I will not be bullied. So, I turned this over to our lawyer. She lives for this & she plans a civil countersuit. How stupid is this……over the shade of green on our HVAC unit?
