I work as a fireman at the local firehouse.
I can say that I love my job even when things get dangerous and we have to go and put out some pretty deadly fires.
While we are just hanging around the firehouse waiting for our services to be needed for something, I have to tell you that we have really good indoor comfort here. The county just invested in an industrial air purification system for the firehouse along with a commercial heating and air conditioning system that really keeps things nice in here. With all of the fire related stuff we have around here, the use of an air purification system is a good thing to keep the indoor air quality pretty fresh. Before we had the industrial air purification system in the firehouse, things would sometimes get a little bad on the air quality side and we did not always have great indoor comfort. It wasn’t like that every single day of the week, but I would say it was at least once a week we had an indoor air quality issue going on. And with all of us firemen having to be on the go and alert as possible all the time, not having good indoor air quality could become a real issue if someone is having allergy issues and has to go fight a fire! So I am grateful that the county finally did something about this. The new heating and air conditioning system is just an added bonus. But it too is wonderful!
