There’s nothing quite as discomforting as when you know there’s a problem waiting for you at home.
You could be working an open to close shift at a restaurant, or working in a hot warehouse with no air conditioning all day long. The last thing you want to do is come home and work, right? Well, that’s what I’ve had to do for the past week. See, about two weeks ago, I started having issues with the air conditioning system at home. The thermostat would show an internal temperature that was always several degrees off. This caused the air conditioning system to be delayed, and it wouldn’t turn on until the house had warmed up to eighty-five degrees! Even then, the thermostat thought it was only seventy-five degrees, and so it would only cool the house for an hour. I’ve reached out to my local heating and air conditioning service providers about this before, but they’ve just told me that I have to replace the thermostat. If you didn’t know, a thermostat is not very cheap! So, I’m trying to explore other options. I feel like there’s got to be an HVAC repair shop in town that can fix this thermostat, especially if it’s just needing a calibration for the temperature sensor inside the machine. Still, maybe the heating and A/C repair technicians are right. The thermostat I’ve had in my home is at least ten years old, so it might be due time to replace the equipment.
