**Looking at a fitness program to diversify our task out

I recently have been checking out personal fitness programs at the closest gym.

The reason for this is that I’m thinking about trying a fitness class.

I feel that my workouts are not diverse enough to achieve my goals. I always feel confident that I am targeting new areas of the body, but then I notice no soreness or improvement in those areas. For example, I have realized that I tend to work my shoulders. When I lift weights, I always fall back on the types of lifts that I’m most comfortable with. I tend to always work the same muscles. I am a gymnist and enjoy including back handsprings as part of the workouts. My upper body looks very toned and strong. However, my biceps and triceps get very little work. To target the lower body I am diligent about working my thighs and they are quite toned. I totally neglect the butt. I have the same issue with abs. Any ab exercise I do are completely centered around the upper abs. I have a well defined upper stomach area above a soft lower belly. It really is frustrating that I can be so toned in some areas and yet so flabby in others. I believe a fitness program will help me with this problem. I am hopeful that a professional personal trainer will be able to tackle those neglected areas and work them with some drills. I am sure that certain exercises I do frequently will make this transition easier for me. I think that with abs for example, I only test the upper area. I don’t know how to make adjustments and incorporate all of the muscles. I am hoping a certified fitness expert with experience will provide a better fitness program. I plan to start off small and gradual. I am planning to take a fitness class once a week to see how I feel and if I like it. If I am impressed with what the trainer is providing, I can then increase the classes to a few days a week.
