My parents have recently moved into our house.
It was the right thing to happen.
They are both getting a lot older and it is hard for them to take care of themselves. At the same time they lived far away, so it was hard for any of us to go to them if they needed anything. They were ready to transfer also, as their lake house was old and it was starting to need a lot of work. It was just smart from numerous points of view to sell that house. I have a lot of spare room in our house, so it was a natural thing for them to transfer in with me. It will be superb for the kids to spend time with them too. I feel that one thing I will need to do is upgrade the Heating as well as Air Conditioning system now that they are moving in though. They are going to need a better gas furnace in the winter. They are going to need a better cooling system in the summer time too I am sure. I am going to make sure I have the best gas furnace and cooling system for them, that is for sure! I might even look into duct cleaning while I am at it. All of us who live here would appreciate having better air quality I am sure. I do not suppose I have to go as far as getting a HEPA filter, but for sure I am going to make sure all the air conditioning filters are brand new for when they come, and that I keep them respectfully changed.
