There was no heat in my car, and I was freezing

On my way back from college to attend a funeral, I experienced odd trouble with my car. It was the weekend before finals, but I couldn’t miss my grandfathers funeral for the world. I decided to make the 8hr drive by myself and would return after the funeral to take these important tests. It was the middle of Winter, and I obviously had the defrost on while I was driving. This was preventing the windows from frosting because of the extreme cold outside. However, about two hours from home, I was noticing that the heater was causing the windows to fog up badly. I thought that maybe the heater wasn’t on defrost, but to my surprise, it was. I couldn’t find any way to solve it. I called my dad and asked him what could be wrong with the heater. He told me that the heater was probably blowing antifreeze through my air vents. Something was apparently wrong. He told me to shut off the heater and roll down the windows. Those last two hours were freezing. I listened to him, and when I made it back, he tried to fix it for me after the funeral. He had to bypass a few hoses, and he fixed the problem. However, for temporary purposes, the heater would no longer heat up anymore. Anytime my window fogged up, I had to roll down the windows. That week was terrible. I had to bring blankets and bundle to make up for the cold weather. Thankfully, I came back a week after finals and he got the heater working again. My dad is so awesome with stuff like that.
