Freezing With No Heater While Going Back Home

It was the middle of Winter when I had to drive all the way back home from school for my grandmother’s funeral.

I was having some car issues, but had to make it back there no matter what! I obviously had the defrost on while I was driving because of the weather conditions; This was preventing the windows from frosting because of the drastic cold outside! However, about a few hours from home, I was noticing that the heating system was causing the windows to fog up badly.

I thought that maybe the heating system in the car wasn’t on defrost, but to my surprise, it was. I couldn’t find any way to solve the issue of it. I called our dad and asked him what could be wrong with the heater. He told me that the heating system in the car was absolutely blowing antifreeze through our air vents… Something was apparently wrong with it all. He told me to shut off the heating system and roll down all the windows. Those last couple of hours were frigid cold. I listened to him, and when I made it back, he tried to repair it for me after the funeral was done. He had to bypass a few hoses, and he fixed the problem. However, for temporary purposes, the heating system in it would no longer heat up anymore, then anytime our window fogged up, I had to roll down the windows totally. That week was pretty and really terrible. I had to bring blankets and bundle up to make up for the cold weather. Thankfully, I came back a week after finals and he got the heating system finally working and up again; My dad is so great with everything!.
