My Pretty Rough Drive Across The Country That I Had

My uncle passed away, and I couldn’t miss our uncle’s funeral for the world.

I had to drive across the country from school to get there.

I was having some issues with the car, but decided to make the 8hr drive by myself anyhow and would return after the funeral to take these crucial tests that were scheduled. It was the middle of Winter, and I obviously had the defrost on in the car while I was driving… This was preventing the windows from frosting up because of the extreme cold outside; However, an hour or 2 from home, I was noticing that the heating unit was causing the windows to fog up badly. I thought that maybe the heating unit wasn’t on defrost, however to our surprise, it was. I couldn’t find any way to solve this problem. I called our dad and asked him what could be wrong with the heater unit. He told me that the heating unit was entirely blowing antifreeze through our air vents, then something was apparently wrong. He told me to shut off the heating unit and roll down the actual windows. Those last hours on the road were cold. I listened to him, and when I made it back, he tried to service the heater unit for me after the funeral. He had to bypass a few hoses, and he fixed the problem. However, for temporary purposes, the heater unit would no longer heat up anymore… Anytime our window fogged up, I had to roll down the windows. That week was terrible. I had to bring blankets and bundle myself up to make up for the cold weather. Thankfully, I came back a week after finals and he got the heater unit working again; My dad is so cool with stuff like that.
