My mom started an HVAC maintenance corporation after my sibling and I were born.
Both of us were in elementary school, but I do not remember the exact year that she started finally working for herself.
My mom was the only HVAC provider in our small neighborhood for a lot of years, and then some major providers moved to the section and drove prices way down. My mom was going out of business and she had to do something fast or he was going to close down for good. Everyone knew if my mom closed the shop, the national corporation would raise their prices. If they were the only competitor in the area, they could pretty much charge anything they wanted for heating in addition to A/C services. My mom decided the only way to compete with the sizable chain was to have a website. My mom hired an SEO corporation to track customers, sales, and traffic to the website, then the SEO corporation created a full-color 5 page website for my mom’s dealer. They helped add keywords to the website so the HVAC corporation could be found in the local search results. They also introduced my mom to pay per click advertising! Sales doubled in a single year and my mom had enough money to hire someone else to work on HVAC repairs. After 20 years in business, my mom has a single of the most successful companies in the section plus I am proud to be a section of the program! Both my siblings and I work with our mom and both of us hope to carry on the name for numerous years to come!
