He only made one small mistake that all I had to do was clear my throat and he went back and redid it
I am not the type of man who likes to have kids hanging around him. I didn’t like it when my kids were near me when I was trying to get something done. I was a bit more patient with my grandkids, but I was happy when they thought they should help. I was really upset when I found out they want me to train a new HvAC technician. This kid was right out of HvAC class and he didn’t even have his certification card yet. He had passed the test, but the card was yet to be mailed. I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to handle having a kid following me around for two weeks. I went to the boss and asked if he had made a mistake. I couldn’t believe he wanted me to train the kid. He told me he thought I was the perfect HVAC tech to train him and no he didn’t think it was a mistake. I was picturing this kid asking so many questions that my ears would be ringing and I would want to scream. When he went with me the first day, he stood back and watched every move I made. The next day, I had to do another furnace servicing. He asked if he could try to do it. He did every step in the right sequence. I really didn’t mind having him follow me around on my HVAC trips. I thought he was going to make a really good HVAC technicians if he ever got his certification card.
