The modern guy is not as funny as he thinks he is

Business has been expanding in the location where I work.

The changes have mostly been positive. The owner of the company bought brand modern vehicles for all of the service servicemans, then all of the vehicles are fully stocked with modern service equipment, i used to work for a small Heating and A/C repair company. The owner of the Heating and A/C company sold the location to a national company. That company took over several weeks ago, and the aged owner retired to the sizzling and sunny southeast. The national Heating and A/C company sent a couple of guys to help with the transition… One of the guys came to train the Heating and A/C service servicemans. The national company hired 20 modern Heating and A/C service servicemans. I had to work with 1 of the modern hires Last weekand the guy was a total jerk; He wasn’t exactly kind to the shopper and he didn’t take time to explain our repair or sell any extra services. After we were finished with the repair and the shopper paid the bill, I talked to the guy in the truck about his attitude. He told me that being nice will not pay the bills. I do not particularally like that attitude and I believe that our customers deserve better than that. It has never been the way we do business. If this is any indication about the modern company, I believe it might be time to look for a modern job. I think our boss wanted money to retire, although I wish he would have thought more carefully about the company he chose to take his location and his corporation name.
