I hate working on Saturday and Sunday, but those are the days that I have to work right now.
I recently started working for a new company and I am at the bottom of the totem pole.
I was working for a different repair company for 5 years, but the owner sold that business and I had to find a different place to work. I searched for a job that would give me every weekend off, but it’s hard to find that in the HVAC repair and installation industry. I have been an HVAC repairman for almost a decade. I enjoy the work, but I wish I didn’t have to work on Saturday and Sunday. The weather outside is really nice, warm, and sunny. Most of my friends don’t have to work the weekend. They go kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding around the bay. They usually ask me to go along and I have to say no. Last weekend, James, Danny and Mark wanted me to go hiking with them near the National Monument. I really wanted to go hiking and the weather was supposed to be extremely nice. Unfortunately, I could not get anyone to switch days with me at work. I had to spend the day working on an HVAC installation job. I was busy all day and I did not get home until the sun was set. I don’t know how long I will be forced to work weekends, but I certainly hope that it won’t be much longer.
