Can’t imagine the energy bills – most historic house ever

It’s easy to get envious.

I mean, I have a hard time with jealousy sometimes – I don’t guess about you.

When I see people have things that I lack, I can get a bit down on myself and them. That’s why, when my neighbor invited myself and others over to see her modern house I was entirely filled with envy; She had found such a fantastic piece of property, and songbirds’ whistles filled the air as you approached the front. The house, itself, was a glorious substantial, historical mansion with a wraparound porch and elaborate wood burning fireplaces. I thought that the house was entirely perfect, and then… I noticed the indoor air pollen levels. As soon as I walked in the front door I realized that the indoor air was full of a pungent smell, similar to an old fridge. Because the residence was so old, it was filled with the aromas of several past occupants. The indoor air temperature, itself, was also seriously unlucky. It felt appreciate there were hot and chilly patches in every room and I was curious about the existing air quality control system, but certainly, there was a central heating and cooling plan in site, although I was not sure how efficient or effective the air handling equipment could be. I gently asked my neighbor about her energy bills and her experience with the central heating, cooling, and air quality control devices. That’s when she told myself and others exactly what I assumed… the central air quality control devices were as old as the house. She could barely control the indoor air temperature and she felt appreciate all of her high quality treated air escaped through the poorly insulated house. Well, there’s one reason it’s not the perfect house – the energy bills must be out of control.
