I new member of the HVAC team

I don’t know if Kyle will want to stick with HVAC work long term, but for right now he is a good fit for the team

When Kyle asked me for a job, he didn’t tell me how badly he needed it. It wasn’t until the following week that I found out he had been kicked out of his house, and had been sleeping in his car. By this point I had already seen him in action, and found him to be a hard worker, always on time, and willing to do whatever was needed. When I found out his circumstances, and how he was managing them privately, I hired him on as a full time employee, and took him under my wing. I can teach heating and cooling repair ,but I can’t teach character and work ethic, and that is what I see in Kyle. He is doing a great job so far, learning all he can about HVAC systems, but I can trust him since I know what a good person he is. A business is only as strong as its weakest team member, so I need all of my people from the HVAC techs to the janitors to be people of high caliber. With a strong team of professionals, my HVAC business can have a solid foundation to grow and succeed. I don’t know if Kyle will want to stick with HVAC work long term, but for right now he is a good fit for the team. After a few months, if it is still working, I will offer to pay for his HVAC certification training classes. He will need to be a certified HVAC tech if he wants to build a career here with me.
