Went looking for new heating units

When I was looking at new heating units, I had one thing in mind; quality.

I wanted to have something that was extremely energy efficient and provided enough coverage for my home.

My home wasn’t super large but it did get a little chilly in the winter months. I looked at all kinds of heating systems like electric fireplaces, heat pumps, and even ductless mini splits. The thing about a ductless mini split, it can’t cover you down to the negative temperature ranges and sometimes it can fail to provide heat slightly under the teens, though they claim it provides heating down to negative 5. Well, if you want to be certain that you are getting your heating needs met, I have found you can go for dual fuel heating systems. These really caught my eye because they are a combination of a heat pump and a gas furnace or other type of heating system. I decided to go for this and opted for the gas furnace in combination with a ductless mini split. Basically, the ductless mini split keeps the house warm down to 40 degrees and when the temperatures drop, the gas furnace kicks on and takes care of the serious heating needs. This HVAC system has to be the most energy efficient system I have ever owned to date, and I’m proud of it. I know that moving forward with regular care and maintenance, this system will last me a long time. I’m hoping I can pass 15 years, but most systems don’t make it too far past that point.
