In order to make working more enjoyable, Grandmother decided to add a condo office to the house. Since there was no room in the actual house for an office, she decided to build an addition off the living room. The actual construction took forever, but when it was time to care about the new space, she realized that he never appreciated working long hours in the office. And it wasn’t because it wasn’t decorated nicely or that it had a bad view. Grandmother was uncomfortable because there was no heating or A/C. I guess the building plans never included a connection to the central heat plus air because she didn’t guess she’d need it. It wasn’t until she started working long hours in the new office that she realized how much she needed air vents… My Grandma didn’t want to endure even more construction, so she started searching for other ways to heat and cool the space without it. This is when she discovered the ductless mini split A/C system. It was an energy efficient way to heat plus cool a small space consistently separate from needing to connect to the central HVAC duct, but all she really had to do was hire an Heating plus A/C professional to connect it to the electricity and mount it. Once it was installed, she was given a small remote to flip between the heating and A/C settings.
