My mom told myself and others that I had to get a Summer job this year when private school was over, but I did not have any plans to begin school in September, so I had to look for a job.
I localed many applications at locales around the city such as steakhouses, grocery stores, plus the Supercenter.
I also put an application in at the amusement park… They had an advertisement in the newspaper plus they were looking for people to hold down jobs in the steakhouse. I thought it could be fun to get a job at the amusement park in the steakhouse, so I filled out an application in the main office; very few nights after I filed my application, I received a telephone call from the manager of the amusement park! She wanted myself and others to come down to the area for an interview. The two of us spoke for almost an hour that afternoon, but after the interview was over, he gave me and others a job. I started the new job the next afternoon. I was ready plus willing to do any job. I certainly did not expect to be assigned to an amusement park ride. I thought I was hired to hold down a job in the steakhouse. Instead, I ended up honestly working at a single roller coaster. I was hoping to spend all afternoon in the chilly AC, but I have to do my job in the heat plus humidity. One of my friends got hired to do a good job in the steakhouse. He is serving burgers plus fries inside the building plus he doesn’t have to worry about the heat. He is perfectly glad honestly working inside with the AC. I wanted a job plus I got a single. I suppose I should be glad even if I do not have any AC.
