My family and I have an extreme passion for traveling.
The new sights and scenes are thrilling for us.
However, the day of traveling via airplane are real close to being done. There is just so much to deal with to fly anymore. I feel as though I’m being herded rather than treated to air travel. So, we get to our travel destinations by way of the highway now. The family actually enjoys each others company and the we share the driving. So, our drive is part of the fun actually. Sort of like flying once was. However, if our destination is more than 7 hours away, we stop for the night at an interstate motel. Mostly, I enjoy the the highway motel because of the reliable HVAC units. Those things are built like tanks and are so powerful that they can cool down or heat up that little room in minutes. I have yet to encounter a a motel where the air conditioning or heat was not up to snuff. Upscale hotels have really disappointed me with their inferior HVAC units. Why am I paying so much money if the room won’t even cool off? I won’t even stay in hotels anymore when I am forced to travel for business. I would much prefer the economy based motels. I know I’ll be warm or cool enough and it will be clean. Plus, there is a pretty dang good breakfast going on every morning. Yep, my family will stick to being road dog with great HVAC and let the airplanes simply fly overhead.
