It has been almost a decade since I graduated from high school. Life in high school was not so hard for me. I had great friends and my grades were not struggling as well. The teachers liked me, and my favorite one was my math teacher. She was always pushing me to be better and do as much as I could do. She left a positive impact on my life. I went on to college and graduated as an HVAC technician. Now I own my local business that deals with heat and AC products. Last week when going through the appointments made the previous day, I noticed a work order to the high school I went to. The work order was to run a tune-up on their air purification system. There was a lot wrong with the air quality systems at the school. The ductwork was in bad shape and the air ducts were all dusty. The thermostat was also not working. The indoor air quality at the school needed improvement and fast. We got to work with the duct sealing and duct cleaning processes. The school was using washable filters and we recommended they switch to disposable air filters as they were easier to replace. As a complementary service, we decided to clean the air purifier as well as check the heat pump to confirm its optimal function. We managed to restore indoor comfort at the school within a few hours. It was surprising to find out that my favorite teacher was now the principal and she remembered me. We chatted for almost an hour after we were done with the tune-up. It was super nice returning there and meeting my favorite teacher.
