I have been down on my luck for a few months.
Recently, I lost my task because the corporation I work for went under. I got a meager severance package and I had somewhat of a fantastic savings, but I have only drained that money these last few months. I am used to having a steady and dependable source of income, and it has been certainly hard to stay afloat. Now, as the weather is getting hotter, I don’t even want to turn my air conditioning on because I think it will cause a spike in my energy bills, which I simply cannot afford. I have been looking for a task for months, but I haven’t been able to find anything that offers a salary comparable to my previous a single. To avoid using my air conditioning, I have been running all the ceiling fans and box fans. I open the windows up at evening to let in the cool ari and I keep the curtains closed to keep the sun from warming up the place. While I’ve been able to manage okay the last few weeks, I think that a heatwave is coming our way. There is no way that I’ll be able to get away with not using the air conditioning while in that time. I may just have to go to the public Barnes and Noble and like the air conditioning there while in the day while I search for tasks. I hope I can find something soon.
