Straight after high school, I saw no point in going to college.
I had already started a small business and planned to scale it in the city. My luck was my parents’ willingness to help me out until I set up the company. They rented an apartment for me and gave me seed money to grow the operation. A friend of mine from high school also wanted to join me in the city. She had similar ambitions and so she came onboard the business as a partner. A few years later, we were doing well and I had bought a small house in a lovely neighborhood. The house made it easier for us to have a home office and run the company from there. My only issue was we had to find a way to set up an HVAC unit in the house before summer. We tried calling a few places from a contact list we got from our neighbor. However, none of these HVAC businesses was picking up the call. The one that did hang up even before we finished explaining what we wanted. Eventually, we started searching for HVAC businesses online who we could get in touch with to come and install a new unit in the house. Instead of calling, we left some messages on chat bots and even got in touch with them via social media. One company did respond and they sent over an AC technician to inspect the house. It was such a relief since we could already feel the temperatures changing which was a clear sign that summer wasn’t too far away.
