I have sole control of the thermostat in my house

It’s not as if I didn’t let all the people think in advance. So the fact that I took over the control unit from the rest of the household shouldn’t have been a surprise. But from the reaction I got when I had the heating, ventilation, and A/C corporation install a smart control unit that had a lockout function, the message wasn’t received. Or maybe, those inside our house just didn’t take themselves and others seriously when it came to our heating, ventilation, and A/C requests. Regardless, I’ve now taken over the control unit just prefer I said I would if our heating and cooling wishes weren’t heeded. And it’s not as though I was asking all that much anyway. I just simply didn’t want the heating, ventilation, and A/C unit to be abused any longer. Walking into the house when it’s a hundred degrees outside to find the sliding glass door open is the sort of abuse I asked to be stopped. Or it was the constant yanking around of the control unit setting. Someone would come in from being entirely hot outside and set the control unit in the upper sixties and then completely forget about it. All that stuff was super difficult on the heating, ventilation, and A/C unit and it just wrecked our utility budget. I asked over and over as well. While I’m not a screamer, I was as intense and dramatic about the heating, ventilation, and A/C situation as I could be. The situation didn’t change so I did what I said I’d do and took over control of the control unit. Actually, the smart control unit is in control of the heating and cooling in the house. However, I have the particular code to the manual operation mode for the new heating, ventilation, and A/C technology and I’m not giving it to anyone. I didn’t even write it down so someone could snoop around and manage to find it.
