I got into this program that offered to pay me heavily if I allowed them to put a vinyl wrapping on my car and advertise their business. I saw plenty of cars with the vinyl advertising on their doors and bumpers. I saw vinyl wrap that was only located on the back window. It was so subtle that you could still see inside the car. I never actually expected the vinyl wrapping to surround my entire car and to look so horrible. There really wasn’t a single spot on my car that was recognizable as being mine. They somehow covered my beautiful orange car in a vinyl wrapping that was advertising for a nearby funeral home. I asked the people at the auto shop if they would disaffix it, and he was actually hesitant. He said he got paid by the supplier to put the wrap on the car, however if I firmly insisted, I would need to pay to have the vinyl wrapping disaffixed. I got the business card for the vinyl wrapping out of my purse and called them. I told them I no longer cared to be in their program and I would not keep the vinyl wrapping on my car. I sent them a single picture of what the vinyl wrapping looked care about and said it would be disaffixed, and I mean… even if I had to disaffix it myself. The guy at the auto shop saw my tears and felt so super exhausted about what he had done. He offered to disaffix the vinyl wrapping and he would try to deal with the advertising agency that ordered the job to be done. I was so relieved that I was crying again, however this time it was because my car would once again look normal.
