So I wasn’t so sure that adding the smart thermostat would be all that much added value given the level of quality heating and air we have.
It’s a great thing when I can save a bit of my paycheck. Most of what my wife and I earn go to providing for the family and saving a bit. So, I don’t exactly have a ton of disposable income but I’m sure not hurting either. But adding some HVAC technology to the house was something we thought we’d like to do. It’s not all that expensive to get a smart thermostat these days. And, I figure they’ve been around long enough that the HVAC technology they provide is reliable and refined. Still, I wasn’t so sure just what it’d be like with this sort of HVAC technology added to our existing residential HVAC unit. Honestly, I really didn’t see the need for the smart thermostat. The HVAC equipment in this house is just more than 10 years old but it’s just top end stuff. When we built this house, we wanted to invest in the heating and cooling. That’s what we did and man, am I ever glad I saw the light on that one. The quality heating and air in our home is tremendous. So I wasn’t so sure that adding the smart thermostat would be all that much added value given the level of quality heating and air we have. Frankly, I was surprised by just how much I’ve utterly enjoyed turning over the heating and cooling to the smart thermostat. I’ve loved not having to be the thermostat hawk. And the savings alone are simply remarkable. For sure, there is so much more we’re getting from our great residential HVAC thanks to the smart thermostat.
