How I clean out the gas fireplace

My home is older and lacks conventional air ducts.

We’ve pieced together a combo of strange styles of oil heating systems to keep us sizzling in the winter.

It’s not ideal however we’ve been reluctant to deal with large amounts of mess and pay the really high cost of installing a duct plan for a furnace. In the kitchen we’ve added a ventless gas fireplace. I prefer that it closely resembles a wood-burning fireplace. The stone look and wooden hearth plus mantle are truly pretty plus enhance the decor of the room. Instead of needing to cut and haul wood, light a fire plus deal with smoke plus ash, both of us simply press the button on a cordless remote to start the heater. The natural gas fireplace includes fake logs and flames that are great for ambience. The plan is fairly quiet plus quite energy efficient. My biggest concern with the heating system is getting it serviced. The supplier that installed the fireplace went out of business. There aren’t several Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C suppliers in the area who are willing to give maintenance or repairs for a gas fireplace. I’ve read the owner’s book plus googled to figure out what I can do for upkeep on my own. I’m able to detach the front pieces plus vacuum the dust from around the burner assembly. However, I can’t access the inner finally workings plus I would know dust, lint plus other debris is accumulating. When I finally got a Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C professional to come to the home to complete a tune-up, he did little more than what I can manage on my own. I felt the repair was a waste of cash.
