My son’s birthday falls in the same month as Christmas and often there are times when we celebrate both of them at the same time.
My son doesn’t really like when we celebrate his birthday on Christmas and I can’t understand why.
Everyone else in the house gets a separate Christmas and birthday at some other time during the year. My son can’t help the fact that he was born on the 23rd of december. This year we decided to have a big party during the time when the kids were out of school. We had the party between Christmas and New Years so all of my son’s friends could attend the birthday party. We got Jack a bunch of different presents for his birthday and they were things that were a lot different than the stuff that he asked Santa for at Christmas time. The party was going well until the furnace stopped working. It was getting very cold inside of the house quickly without the furnace. We tried to move all of the kids into the living room where we could run the kerosene heater. It was still pretty cold. Most of the kids were supposed to spend the night but we had to cut the party short after the furnace stopped working. I had to call a repair service and they didn’t show up until 2:00 in the morning. By then all of the parents had already picked up their children. They understood that we had to end the party early without any heat in the house. Unfortunately, my son was disappointed again this year.
