HVACindustry was the chance I needed

I was down on my luck, way down, when I met Kevin at the soup kitchen.

I had seen him there before, he came every wednesday night to serve dinner to the local homeless population.

Which at the time included myself. Kevin was a nice guy, genuine and compassionate, and I had heard that he set up several other people with jobs in the past. I approached him directly, and said that I wanted to work, and no matter what the job was I would work harder than anyone. My enthusiasm and determination impressed him, and the following week I started work at the HVAC dealership he owned. I wasn’t working with the HVAC techs at all, those guys had their own areas of expertise I couldn’t help with. Instead Kevin had me making coffee, sweeping up, answering phones, and using the forklift to move around the heavy HVAC equipment in the warehouse. Heating and cooling repair was only a part of Kevin’s very large business, which sold every type of system you could think of. Of course there were the normal HVAC systems, space heaters, water boilers, and that kind of thing. There were also industrial grades ventilation systems and fans bigger across than I was tall! My personal goal is to reorganize all of the HVAC equipment in here to maximize the space, prove my worth, and then work my way up to warehouse manager. I am going to make something of myself here at the HVAC warehouse, and prove to Kevin he was right to give me a chance.
