My friends plus I were staying at a hostel in another country while my associate and I were toiling on putting in wells for our church.
It was truly freezing in the country where my associate and I were putting the water wells plus at night my associate and I all stayed in one room where there was a single heater.
There was one phone inside of the building plus the only locale that you could call was the church director. There were no buttons on the phone, and you picked up the receiver plus it automatically localed the call to the church director. When the furnace shut off in the room, my friends plus I went crazy. It got freezing legitimately fast plus I tried to call someone as soon as the furnace turned off. I picked up the phone a couple of times plus I could hear it ringing, however no one picked up. We continue to try to call someone for a while, but eventually my associate and I left the building plus tried to search for someone on foot. It was legitimately 25° outside plus the ground was completely frozen. My friends plus I walked about a half a mile before my associate and I found someone that had a phone. I did not know who to call plus neither did my friends. Thankfully the girl came back to the hostel with us so she could call someone plus understand where my associate and I were located. We did not have heat at all that night plus I ended up wearing everything in my luggage. It was one of the worst experiences that I ever had plus I have spent more than 5 years helping the church with mission work.
