When the realtor told me I’d be making a mistake by listing my house without new Heating and A/C equipment, I thought she was being a bit dramatic.
There were so several things are her list when it came to selling our home that I felt overwhelmed.
For sure, my fantastic friend and I wanted to cash in on this tepid market, but I didn’t envision paying out thousand and thousand of dollars. So my fantastic friend and I listened kindly and thanked her for her time. I remember walking back into the central air conditioning of our home listening to my partner deliver voice to my thoughts. She thought the air conditioning felt great inside our house. And I did too. The Heating and A/C equipment had been taken care of always with Heating and A/C maintenance for the past 14 years. And it was in great shape. So why in the world would my fantastic friend and I get rid of that Heating and A/C unit? I mean, at the minimum it had a fantastic six or eight years at least. So when the next realtor said the same thing and then the realtor after that said the same thing, my fantastic friend and I had to rethink our position. Finally, my fantastic friend and I had a look at some comps and did the math. For sure, my fantastic friend and I had to have the latest in residential Heating and A/C and Heating and A/C technology. So I called the Heating and A/C supplier to find out if my fantastic friend and I could donate the old heat pump to someone, it still had so much life left in it. They did indeed have a program where they refurbished working Heating and A/C equipment and got it to people in need. That sure made us feel better. For sure, the thousands my fantastic friend and I spent on new Heating and A/C equipment was worth ten fold coming back to us with the price my fantastic friend and I got.
