Power goes out, leaves us without heat

It was a irritated experience and I’m lucky my water pipes didn’t freeze.

Last November, right around Thanksgiving, my part got hit with a nasty blizzard, however no one was expecting such severe weather so early in the year, i hadn’t even finished raking up the fall leaves or put the lawn mower away for the season, then all of my family’s Winter time clothes were still packed away, and I hadn’t bought rock salt yet, but the outside temperature dropped from fifty degrees to fifteen in a matter of hours. The people I was with and I experienced high winds and accumulated numerous feet of snow overnight, however since I didn’t get the opening to have the gas furnace professionally maintained, I was sad about the heating plan keeping up with demand. I changed the air filter, cleaned the vents and hoped for the best. The people I was with and I ended up going without heat for numerous afternoons because the power went out, and without electricity, my family had no access to lights, running water, internet or heating. The people I was with and I couldn’t even plug in space heating systems or huddle under electric blankets. The people I was with and I lit candles, bundled up in layers of overcoats and considered driving to a hotel. Since there was a driving ban in effect, I was reluctant to brave the icy roads. It was a irritated experience and I’m lucky my water pipes didn’t freeze. I don’t ever want to be left without a working gas furnace again. As soon as every one of us got the power back and the weather straightened up, I contacted a local Heating and Air Conditioning company for service. Along with service for the gas furnace, I got a quote for the installation of a backup generator. Although the generator was super luxurious, I’m now prepared for a power outage.
