I don’t know if everyone feels this way, but I think that it’s just so rare to meet people who would rather use a wood stove or fireplace to heat their home. For someone like me, a furnace is appreciated for its convenience! Unlike older models of furnaces, with a furnace of today, you never have to work very hard to get your furnace working! The faithful heating system will run silently in the background, keeping your home warm and your body toasty so you can relax accordingly. Honestly, the furnace is easily the most underappreciated appliance in your home! Maybe that’s just me, but come on! The furnace is stored in an unused portion of your house, and it’s always forgotten. The furnace lays dormant for months, as the weather is too hot outside for using a furnace. The odor brought into the house when the furnace runs is burning dust, but that passes – at that point the furnace runs without issue. What kind of person would prefer that they have their usual Heating, Ventilation and A/C professionals inspect and wipe down a wood stove? The furnace of the 21st century is the best way to go. Still, when your furnace stops working because of your negligence (assuming you never had an HVAC repair technician take a look at it), you automatically are miserable about your furnace! Handing over cash to maintenance the most crucial appliance in your home just feels wrong. It isn’t your heating systems fault that you have no real idea of what needs to be done to maintain it, you know! Taking care of the furnace should mean that you’re hiring a Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional to do it for you.
