Pride always has the capacity to punch a person right in the teeth. A person’s pride can be a good, motivating principle in a healthy life. Pride can also hastily turn into hubris plus cause people to do things they deeply regret later. This rapid evolution of too much pride has resulted in enough stupid decisions that I now take a beat to check myself.
