Both of us had no cooling systems, & the day dragged on

During the Wintertide in our office, when the gas oil furnaces stop laboring, every worker is sent lake house to labor remotely. Because of the nature of our position, we have the ability to do all of our labor at home, but our boss prefers us to do our labor in the office! However, when the gas oil furnaces stop laboring, it severely limits our ability to labor productively, meaning that our time would be best spent at home, and during the summer, we get no such luxury, then when the cooling systems stop laboring in our building, our boss refuses to let us go home… In her mind, cooling systems are a luxury, not a necessity. She makes us labor the entire day while the Heating, Ventilation and A/C company struggles to fix the cooling system for us. I understand that having a broken gas furnace is a bigger complication than having a broken cooling system, but there is still a single major complication with making us labor here when the cooling system is broken, however our productivity is still going to suffer separate from a laboring cooling system. With sweat pouring down our backs & arms, everybody is focused on trying to stay cool. It is actually distracting to be incredibly warm. If we were allowed to labor at lake house with our functioning cooling systems, after that I would not be hindered by any of these problems. However, our boss disagrees with us, which is why she makes us stay, then people worked in factories for thoUSAnds of years separate from cooling systems! Therefore, she expects us to be able to live through a single day. However, she never mentions that our productivity is much higher when we are comfortable.
