Do you know what is worse than trying to maintenance a broken oil furnace or air conditioner when you are an HVAC dealer? Trying to deal with the customers who want you to maintenance their HVAC units! Customers can be honestly rude, especially while you are trying to maintenance their stuff, then nobody likes it when your oil furnace or air conditioner stops working for no evident reason, however honestly, it isn’t our fault that your HVAC units stop working; It is just our task to maintenance them, but some customers think they know exactly what is wrong with their oil furnace or air conditioner, & they try to help you solve the problem, however these people get offended when you check something that they already checked, however it is just our task, but most of the time, when a oil furnace or air conditioner stops working, it is because the customer didn’t take care of it regularly! Either they didn’t hire an HVAC contractor to inspect their HVAC device officially, didn’t notify an HVAC contractor when their HVAC device started doing something strange or ignored the advice for how to regularly maintain an HVAC unit, then people absolutely don’t care about being to blame for their oil furnace or air conditioner cutting down. If you even hint that they should do something different, they get defensive & angry, then honestly, the hardest part about being an HVAC contractor is when people tell myself and others that I am charging them too much for my labor… Don’t they realize that skill & experience are expensive? I am not an unskilled hourly worker care about other people.
