My home is always full of dust.
I constantly have to clean it but the dust just comes back.
It is causing my family and I some health issues too. We are constantly coughing and sneezing. That is why I bought some portable air filters. I put one in the living room and one in the hallway that leads to the bedrooms. Both of these air filters have washable filters. I removed the filters once a week. They get so full of dust and I am shocked at home much dirt they collect from our home. Despite this, there is still dust all over the place. While looking up filters that might work better, I came across whole home air filters that connect to your existing HVAC system and I decided that I wanted one for our family. I called up an HVAC company and asked them to come over to give us a quote. Three days later, the HVAC worker came out and gave me a pretty high quote for installing the whole home air filter. However, the next thing he said shocked me. He told me that we don’t really need a filtration system. He explained that our ductwork needs a professionally cleaning and that that is, most likely, the source of all of the dust in our house. I had never even considered that. The technician gave me a much lower quote for a ductwork cleaning. I decided to have him do that and then just see if that solved the problem or not. I figured that if it didn’t, I could still get the air filter installed.
