Have you ever noticed that HVAC technicians charge so much money to fix your furnace or air conditioner? Now, I definitely appreciate the service that HVAC technicians provide for society.
Without someone to fix our furnace or air conditioner when they break down, we would definitely be a lot more uncomfortable in our houses, and we may even endanger our families.
I also understand that an HVAC technician spends years studying their trade and learning how to fix your HVAC units. Their knowledge and skill with installing, repairing, and diagnosing HVAC units are comparable to a doctor, lawyer, or an electrician. On the other hand, they may charge $100 per hour to fix your air conditioner or furnace. They constantly are warning you that you should not hire a friend or family member who is not a certified HVAC technician, but they also charge so much money that it makes it hard not to be tempted to find another way to fix your HVAC unit. I understand that they need to be able to make money, but surely there is some way that they should be able to lower their costs to make HVAC technicians more affordable. Honestly, should they be able to charge you $100 for a repair that took no parts and only fifteen minutes to complete? Hiring an HVAC technician always brings about a dreaded fear that you are going to be financially handicapped because you had an unforeseen HVAC unit breakdown. That stigma should definitely not exist. HVAC companies should listen to my advice and make their services more affordable.
