Nothing in my life has compared to being a mom.
I love it with all of my heart.
My husband and I became parents two years ago, and it has changed our lives. I did not think that I was ready to be a mom, but I do not think that anyone feels that way when they find out that they are going to be parents. Our little boy is just getting to the stage where he gets into everything, and he is quite hard to keep track of sometimes. I was talking to a friend at church one evening, and I looked away from my son for literally a minute, and he ran off and was playing in the toilet. The latest thing that he likes doing at home is adjusting the thermostat. I do not know how he learned how to adjust it. He must have watched me or his daddy adjust it and copied. He climbs onto the couch and reaches up to the thermostat. I realized he was adjusting it when I woke up to a very warm house one day and had no idea why until I look at the thermostat, and it said that it was set to eighty degrees. I asked my husband if he had messed with the thermostat, and he said that he had not touched it for a few weeks. I decided to watch my little man a little closer that day, and sure enough when he was playing in the living room, he climbed up on the couch, and I watched as he reached to adjust the thermostat. I had to stop him of course, and he was so confused because he seems mommy and daddy adjust it and does not understand why he cannot adjust it as well.
