My parents have recently moved into our house.
It was the right thing to happen.
They are both getting a lot older and it is hard for them to take care of themselves. At the same time they lived far away, so it was hard for any of us to go to them if they needed anything. They were ready to transport also, as their apartment was outdated and it was starting to need a lot of work. It was just smart from several points of view to sell that house. I have a lot of spare room in our house, so it was a natural thing for them to transport in with me. It will be good for the kids to spend time with them too. I think that one thing I will need to do is replace the Heating and A/C system now that they are moving in though. They are going to need a better oil furnace in the winter. They are going to need a better cooling system in the Summer too I am sure. I am going to make sure I have the best oil furnace and air conditioner for them, that is for sure! I might even look into duct cleaning while I am at it. All of us who live here would prefer having better air quality I am sure. I do not suppose I have to go as far as getting a HEPA filter, however for sure I am going to make sure all the air conditioning filters are brand current for when they come, and that I keep them respectfully changed.
