I’m being sincere when I say that I really do appreciate the expertise that HVAC technicians can provide when installing and /or maintaining HVAC units. It’s a skill that I most certainly do not have and that is why I rely on them. The trick is finding an HVAC company that is honest, reputable, and has good prices. As an example, I recently had a brand new air conditioner unit installed for my home. After the period between my old system breaking down and having to wait for a new system, I eagerly welcomed cool air once more. The problem is that cool air didn’t last very long Little more than 24 hours after the new air conditioner was installed, there was a problem that caused it to lose its cooling power. This was a brand new system that had not been functional for more than 48 hours and there was already a problem big enough to cause it’s cooling power to be severely lessened to the point of being almost non-existent? I later found out that there was a refrigerant leak. The HVAC company I did business with actually tried to sell me on the idea that the refrigerant leak was no one’s fault, and certainly not the HVAC technicians fault. After all, if it was not their fault, then they could charge me for fixing the problem. In my opinion oh, that is downright dishonest and manipulative, all in an effort to make more money off of what they hoped was a gullible customer! Needless to say, I did not buy the story and I was not charged a nickel for them to repair the refrigerant leak.
