My proposal dinner was almost messed up by an overzealous dual fuel system

My fiance had proposed a week ago and we were to have dinner with our parents and siblings to celebrate the proposal.

It was a cold winter evening and my sisters and I were cooking up a hearty meal.

The boys were playing a game of pool while the parents chatted away in the sitting room as they drank hot cocoa. Once in a while, one of the brothers would pop into the kitchen to ask if we needed help, in a real sense, they wanted to know if the food was ready. As we settled down to eat, we were startled by a loud bang outside the house. We all ran outside only to find the heat pump of the dual fuel system smoking. The system had malfunctioned and almost blown up. This meant that if we did not have any other heating equipment, we would freeze to death. We scheduled a visit for the next day with the cooling tech from the local cooling corporation. In the meantime, we needed to switch on the other units we had including a space heater as well as a furnace. The dinner went well though the house was not as warm as we would have wanted. My dad-in-law was telling us that the system we had was among the new heating units in the market and most homeowners did not have enough information about them. Being an experienced technician, who knew more about air conditioning, he suggested that we fit the zoned HVAC and ensure that the duct sealing was properly done to ensure the system lasted longer. We also talked about the newest air conditioning system in the market, heated floors, but quickly ruled it out because of the high cost of installation of the heater for the deck.
