I have a couple of really great friends, and they are there in an emergency. When my car died on the freeway last March, my buddy drove 3 hours to pick me up. He even paid for a tow truck, so we could get my truck back to his place. We tried to fix the truck on our own, but we ended up contacting a licensed mechanic. My buddy was there when I got married too, and he stood next to me the whole time. When my daughter was born, my best friend bought a box of cigars to celebrate the occasion. I really have some great friends, and they are a bunch of good guys. When I was away on a military exercise, my wife had some trouble with the furnace. She called Dexter, and he went over to the house to look at the furnace. By the time I got home from the military exercise, Dexter had replaced the furnace with a brand new piece of equipment. I really feel like a lucky guy. Dexter presented me with a bill for the new furnace, and he even added a few dollars for his installation fees. I was happy to sit and enjoy a beer with Dexter, especially after he took care of everything for me. That was almost three months ago, and my furnace still works great. I told Dex that he might have a second career in the heating equipment installation business. He even charged less than a professional. If he ever gets bored with the military, that can be his next stop.
